Hello and Welcome!

You are not alone.

Are you having difficulties coping with anxiety, stress or processing difficult memories? I'm here to offer accompaniment and support as you work to address these areas in your life.

Mission

I work collaboratively with my clients to improve their mental well-being. I seek to do this by offering support in separating helpful and unhelpful dynamics in one's life, as well as reflecting on coping strategies to work towards change. I promise to curate a therapeutic space in which we may work together using creativity, humility, and mutual accountability.

What is Drama Therapy?

Drama Therapy uses practices typically associated with theatre such as metaphor, embodiment, and storytelling to engage with goals in therapy. Creative Arts Therapies do not require performance capabilities or any form of artistic practice, but instead, welcome creativity as an organic component of therapy. Traditional approaches to psychotherapy are incorporated in drama therapy, which creates space for clients to connect through discussion as well as creative action. For more information on drama therapy, please visit the North American Drama Therapy Association's website.

FAQ

Do I have to be a performer to benefit from drama therapy?

This is a common question to which the answer is, no. While performers may benefit from this approach to therapy, it is equally beneficial for folks who may not fall into this category. I believe that since drama therapy works to incorporate the body, our senses and our creative mind- this approach is helpful for many seeking therapeutic support.
